This coffee is from Sidama Ethiopia, a well known origin for producing exceptional specialty coffee. This region is known for producing coffees with vibrant acidity, fruit forward flavours, and sometimes floral characteristics in the cup.
Sidama is an especially high elevation growing area, at high elevations coffee cherries ripen more slowly which allows them to develop this recognisable flavour profile.

This coffee was produced by Bekele, a third-generation farmer who has spent more than a decade cultivating coffee on his family land.
Bekeles coffee was exported by Mecota Trading, a company that gives smallholder farmers direct access to international markets. Mecota supports farmers through processing to achieve specialty grade quality, whilst preserving the identity of each coffee.
